Practical AI for Brisbane businesses, built with the person who builds it.
Flowtivity is an AI consultancy led by founder AJ Awan, an hour down the M1 on the Gold Coast. We find where work gets stuck, then train your team, connect your tools and build agents a person supervises. The work can run on site at your business in Brisbane.
Two engagements in the region right now. Both clients stay anonymous, and neither has results to report yet, so here is what we are building.
Residential home builder · client update agent In build
A progress update for every client, in the builder’s own words.
Clients building a home want to know what is happening on site. The agent reads live job data through the construction software’s supported API, picks out the completed work clients care about and drafts an update in the builder’s voice, straight into the team’s Outlook.
Staff review and send.Nothing goes to a client unread.

Finding the real bottleneck before building anything.
The instinct was to speed up quoting. We looked for the constraint across the whole job first, and it was document control in the office, not the field. The strategy starts there: hands-on Claude training for every office user, then agents on Australian-hosted infrastructure.
The team shapes the tools. The plugin is shaped live in training sessions.
Two agents we have built and run, each with a person making the final call.
National renovation contractor · pre-estimate review agent
Every estimate checked before the client sees it.
231 estimate lines become a client-ready workbook in one step, not an afternoon of copy-paste6 locked client Excel bid forms, generated byte-perfect
231 estimate lines1 step
The agent catches zero-quantity lines, margin leakage and typo-class errors before submission, and every reviewer correction adds a new check to its rules. It runs on a client-owned, open-source stack on Australian infrastructure.
An estimator makes the call.Nothing reaches the client unreviewed.
Practical training built on your team’s real work, so the people closest to the work find where AI fits. Sessions can run at your business in Brisbane.
Your models on a dedicated Australian cloud, or take full control of your own AI model in Australia. Interoperable, with no lock-in. Rented GPUs only for testing and non-sensitive work.
Where should we start?
From either end. Training works bottom-up; strategy works top-down. Both come back to one process, and the free consult is where we work out which suits you.
Whoever you hire, including us, these questions separate practical help from hype.
Can you show work for businesses like mine?
Ask for a case study with real figures, and a client you could talk to.
Who will actually do the work?
Find out whether the person you meet is the person who builds it.
Where will our data go?
You should get a plain answer: which tools, which country, and who can see it.
Can we start with one process?
A good consultant scopes one piece of work first and proves it before anything larger.
What will it cost to run after launch?
Model and hosting costs recur every month. Ask for them before you commit, not after.
What happens after the build?
Training, documentation, and who fixes it when your tools or your process change.
Red flags
A guaranteed return before anyone has looked at how you work.
Jargon that does not get simpler when you ask.
A tool pitched before your problem is understood.
No past work you can check.
Nothing said about what happens after launch.

“The expertise, knowledge and thorough methodology behind the training that AJ delivered, certainly made a difference for a very positive outcome.”

Questions from Brisbane businesses.
Straight answers to what Brisbane business owners usually ask first.
Can you work on site in Brisbane?
Yes. AJ is based on the Gold Coast, about an hour from Brisbane, and process mapping, workshops and training can run at your business. The first conversation is a free 1-hour consult. If you would rather meet face to face, say so when you get in touch.
Do you work with other South East Queensland businesses?
Yes. Current work includes a client update agent for a South East Queensland home builder, and an AI strategy and training program for a petroleum systems engineering firm in the region. Clients further afield include a national renovation contractor and an allied health practice in Victoria.
Where should we start?
From either end. Bottom-up, training helps the people closest to the work find where AI fits. Top-down, an AI strategy picks the constraint that holds a process back, then we build the agents and automations around that process. The free consult is where we work out which suits you.
Should we hire an AI consultant or an AI agency?
It depends on how close you want to stay to the work. An agency usually brings a bigger team, with sales and delivery handled by different people. With Flowtivity you work with AJ from the first conversation to the build. Whoever you choose, ask who will actually build it.
Could we build AI in-house instead?
Often, in time. Training is part of every engagement so your team can run and extend what we build, and some businesses start with training alone. Outside help matters most on a first project, or when the work needs integrations or private AI your team has not done before.
Where does our data go?
That depends on what you choose, and we will be plain about it. Many teams start with mainstream AI tools. When the data is sensitive, we lead with a dedicated Australian cloud for your models, or you can take full control of your own AI model in Australia. It is interoperable, with no lock-in to one model or provider. Rented GPUs are only for testing and non-sensitive work.
What does it cost?
It depends on the work, so every project is quoted on its own. The first conversation is free and takes an hour. If there is a fit, you get a fixed-price proposal with clear deliverables and timelines, so there are no hourly billing surprises.
How long does a project take?
One process, such as an inbox agent or quote follow-ups, usually takes 1 to 2 weeks. Custom automation across a team takes 2 to 6 weeks, and larger work with several agents, team training and private AI takes 4 to 12 weeks. Your proposal sets out the timeline before you commit.
